PURE HEART MINISTRIES
Stories
The School
This is Our Lady of Mercy School, located in Bahati, Nakuru, serving children from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The school receives our support and serves a community facing significant challenges. Many families come from highly impoverished and often unstable circumstances, making it difficult to pay school fees consistently.
Meet The Board
Marsha Elliott gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 19, experiencing God’s unmatched love and guidance through every season of her life.
As a child, James Elliott was known for his mischievous behavior and constant curiosity. He often found himself getting into trouble, whether it was by starting fires or mixing Yoohoo with medicine from the cabinet and offering it to unsuspecting relatives.
Honestly
We plan to share our faith and ministry journey when we update the Pure Heart Ministry Foundation newsletter (PHMF). Most of us enjoy hearing a powerful testimony, whether it’s a story about someone’s relationship with God or simply an uplifting experience.
Interviewing Conce
Pure Heart Ministry Foundation’ Marsha Elliot interviews Conce, who works with street-involved children in Kenya, bringing love, support, and compassion right where it’s needed most. We believe in living out James 1:27 by serving the most vulnerable in our communities. From providing food and prayer to simply spending time in prayer and conversations, this day reflects our mission to care with a pure heart.
Why James 1:27
James 1:27 “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widow in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” This is the Word of the Living God! He has commissioned us to do this work. God loves widows so much. When the Lord gave us this name, I was deeply moved by the word “religion”.
The Beginning
I met Pastor Patrick Mukhwuana when he reached out to me on Messenger. I don’t remember what he said. Most of you know that in America we get a lot of people from developing countries reaching out to us. They know we are a blessed country, not perfect but surely blessed as compared to many other countries.
Anna the Widow
Widows like Anna keep the fire of the altar burning. She did not depart from the altar. She kept on praying. God often uses them to prophesy His will over lives and to encourage and enlighten the people of God, just like Anna did at Jesus’ birth.
